Route4Me's own billing documentation separately defines the subscription as per user, where a user includes managers, dispatchers, and drivers alike. How to Choose Last Mile Delivery Management Software
- Pick your billing unit before your vendor. A ten-driver fleet doing 500 deliveries a month wants per-order pricing. A three-driver fleet doing 5,000 wants per-driver.
- Check whether proof of delivery is included. OptimoRoute gates it behind Pro, which surprises buyers who shortlisted the product specifically for it.
- Read the minimums, not the headline. Track-POD's $49 is really $147 because of its three-driver floor.
- Confirm SMS is priced. Routific and Track-POD both bill notifications separately, and DispatchTrack does not publish anything at all.
- Map your peak, not your average. Spoke Dispatch's jump from 2,000 to 12,000 stops and OptimoRoute's 700-order cap both bite at the busiest time of year.

OptimoRoute Lite at $39 per driver comes to $312, or $392 on Pro if you need proof of delivery. Track-POD Advanced at $49 per driver annually reaches $392, though its per-order model would cost $510 for the same volume. Routific lands near $430 once overage above its included 1,000 orders is counted.
Onfleet is the outlier. Launch covers only 2,500 tasks, so 3,000 deliveries pushes you to Scale at $1,349, more than five times the cheapest option for identical volume. Route4Me starts at $199 but cannot be modeled honestly once add-ons are counted, and DispatchTrack publishes nothing.
The spread between the cheapest and most expensive workable option is roughly five to one, and almost none of that gap is optimization quality. It is the billing unit.
Final Thoughts
This is the second category in this series where not one vendor ships an official MCP server. Dispatch software has excellent APIs and no agent story at all, which is a strange gap given how much of the work is repetitive scheduling that an assistant could reasonably help with.
