This Policy governs how PickMySoft collects, processes, and protects your personal information when you use pickmysoft.com and all related services. By using our Platform, you agree to the practices described herein.
PickMySoft understands that your privacy is important. We respect the privacy of every person who visits our platform and only collect and use personal information in ways that are useful to you and consistent with your rights and our obligations under law. 1. Definitions & Interpretation

| Platform | The website pickmysoft.com and all related subdomains, APIs, and services operated by PickMySoft. |
| Process / Processing | Any operation performed on Personal Information — collection, storage, use, disclosure, transfer, or deletion. |
| Services | Software discovery, comparison, reviews, lead generation, editorial scoring, and advisory services provided via the Platform. |
| Vendor | A company or individual that lists a software product on the Platform. |
| Buyer | A person or business that uses the Platform to research, compare, or evaluate software products. |

2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to our Processing of your Personal Information when you use the Platform as a Buyer, Vendor, reviewer, or visitor. It covers:
- Browsing and searching software listings;
- Submitting a demo request, pricing enquiry, or lead form;
- Writing, editing, or managing a review;
- Creating or managing a Vendor listing or Account;
- Contacting us via email, chat, or any channel;
- Subscribing to newsletters or marketing communications.
This Policy does not cover third-party websites linked from the Platform. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
3. Information We Collect
- Buyers: full name, business email, phone number, company name, industry, city, designation, number of employees, current software in use, deployment preference, budget range, requirements, and preferred callback time.
- Vendors: company name, product name, contact name, email, phone, website URL, pricing data, features, screenshots, and any other listing content submitted.
- Reviewers: name, job title, company, email address, and review content (ratings, pros, cons, written experience).
- Account holders: email, hashed password, company details, and profile information.
- Anyone contacting us: name, email, and message content.
- IP address and approximate location (country/city); browser type, version, and language; device type and operating system; pages visited, search queries, links clicked, and session duration; referring URL; session identifiers and cookie data (see Section 13).
- If you sign in via Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name and verified email as permitted by that provider.
- Analytics and advertising partners may provide aggregated audience data about Platform interactions.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we identify the following legal bases:
- Contract Performance: Processing necessary to fulfil a contract — creating your Account, processing a lead enquiry, or publishing your listing.
- Legitimate Interests: Analytics, fraud prevention, and Platform improvement — where our interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: Marketing emails, optional cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal Obligation: Compliance with applicable law, court orders, or regulatory requirements.
8. Storage & International Transfers
Your Personal Information is stored on secure servers operated by PickMySoft and its infrastructure providers. Our primary servers are located in the United States and India.
International Transfers (EEA/UK): Where your data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we use Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Article 46 GDPR) or other recognised safeguards. Contact privacy@pickmysoft.com for details of safeguards applicable to your data.

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for the purpose collected or as required by law:

10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended solely for business professionals. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under the age of 16. If you are under 16, do not use the Platform or submit any personal information. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided us with data, contact us at privacy@pickmysoft.com and we will promptly delete it.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Information, including:
- TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit;
- AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest;
- Hashed and salted password storage — we never store plaintext passwords;
- Role-based access controls limiting employee access to a legitimate need basis;
- Regular security assessments and penetration testing;
- Multi-factor authentication for internal admin systems.
No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact privacy@pickmysoft.com immediately.

- Right to be Informed: Know whether we hold your data, for what purpose, and the legal basis.
- Right of Access: Request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion where data is no longer necessary, consent is withdrawn, or processing was unlawful.
- Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format to transfer to another controller.
- Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing at any time.
- Right to Restrict Processing: Temporarily halt processing during an accuracy dispute or pending an objection.
- No Automated Decision-Making: We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions with significant legal or similar effects on you.
Email privacy@pickmysoft.com to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days. We may verify your identity before processing.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
- Right to know categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, used, and shared;
- Right to delete personal information;
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- Right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising;
- Right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
PickMySoft does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To exercise California rights, email privacy@pickmysoft.com.
Nevada law provides certain residents the right to opt out of the “sale” of personally identifiable information. PickMySoft does not engage in such sales. Nevada residents may still submit a formal opt-out request to privacy@pickmysoft.com.
14. User-Generated Content
- Reviews are published with your full name/job title or anonymously, depending on your selection at submission. Update this preference by emailing editorial@pickmysoft.com.
- All reviews undergo identity verification before publication. We verify reviewer name, job title, email, and employment to prevent false or incentivised reviews. Unverifiable reviews are not published.
- Published review content may appear in search engine results, syndication partners, and aggregated reports.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of content you submit. False, defamatory, or misleading reviews may result in removal and account suspension.
15. Notice & Takedown Procedure
We operate a Notice & Takedown procedure for content alleged to be manifestly unlawful or defamatory. Email editorial@pickmysoft.com with subject “Notice & Takedown Request” including:
- Your full name, company, email, and phone number;
- The URL of the content on pickmysoft.com to which the request relates;
- The review title, content, and reviewer name (if applicable);
- A clear statement explaining why the content is unlawful, inaccurate, or damaging;
- Evidence of your identity and authority to make the request;
- A good-faith statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and true.
We respond substantively within 28 days. If content is determined to be unlawful, we take appropriate action at our discretion. If we cannot make that determination, the request will be declined with an explanation.

The Platform contains links to third-party websites, including vendor websites and external resources. These operate independently and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. We recommend reviewing any linked website's privacy policy before providing personal information.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy here with a revised Last Updated date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a Platform notice. Your continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

7. Social Login & Email Account Connection
If you sign in via Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name and verified email only, as permitted by that provider. We do not receive your passwords.
If you optionally connect an email account for a Platform feature, we request read-only access limited to that feature's operation. We do not store email bodies, attachments, or headers beyond the immediate session.
Social media widgets on the Platform (share buttons, etc.) are governed by the privacy policies of the respective social networks.
