Info
Pipedrive is the best construction CRM software for contractors that mainly need a sales pipeline, Jobber the pick for home-service quoting, and FollowUp CRM the most construction-specific for commercial bids. Buildertrend, JobNimbus, Houzz Pro and Leap bundle CRM with estimates and jobs. All seven were compared on pricing, bid and lead tracking, MCP and API access, and security.
Pipedrive is the best pick for most contractors that only need to track leads and bids in 2026. It publishes four price tiers, runs an official MCP server and documents a public API. It is a general sales CRM, so commercial bid tracking points to FollowUp CRM and residential firms that want estimates and job files in the same tool should look at Buildertrend, JobNimbus or Leap.
Construction CRM software tracks the part of the job before the job: leads, site visits, bids, proposals and the people who sign off on them. Sales cycles are long and several people share each decision, which is why a generic contact list falls short. Once a bid is won, the project record usually moves into construction management software or an estimating and bid management tool. If you are weighing a general-purpose option first, our CRM software guide covers the wider market.
Last updated: October 27, 2026. Pricing and feature claims were verified against vendor pages on that date, except where a section says a site blocked our fetch.
CRM software for construction companies should preserve the path from a first inquiry to a bid and a signed job. Compare contractor CRM software on follow-ups, company relationships and the handoff after a win. General contractor CRM software needs to fit how your team tracks opportunities; a construction CRM system is not automatically a replacement for the project-management system.
Why You Need Construction CRM Software
- Bids you can follow up. A bid log with reminders stops a $200,000 proposal from going quiet because nobody remembered to call.
- Lead sources you can measure. Source reports show whether referrals, web forms or marketplaces produce signed jobs, not just inquiries. Our lead generation software guide covers the top of the funnel.
- Proposals that close faster. Templates, e-signature and open tracking shorten the gap between a site visit and a signed contract. See also proposal and quoting software.
- No re-keying at handoff. A won lead that converts into a job, or syncs to the accounting system, saves a data-entry step and a source of errors.
- One history per customer. Calls, texts, quotes and jobs stay on a single record, so a returning homeowner or repeat GC is not treated as a stranger.
How We Evaluated Construction CRM Software
Each tool was scored on pricing transparency, construction fit (bid and lead tracking, proposals, handoff), AI and MCP maturity, API openness and security documentation. Facts come from each vendor's own pages. Where a site blocked our fetch (Buildertrend, JobNimbus and Houzz Pro did), we used official-domain excerpts and say so. Full criteria live in our methodology.
1. Pipedrive
Pipedrive is a visual sales CRM, not construction software, but its own construction page pitches a bidding pipeline with stages like bid, site visit, estimate and won.
Pricing: Lite is $14, Growth $24, Premium $49 and Ultimate $69 per seat per month, billed annually. A monthly-billing toggle exists, but we captured only the annual prices. Add-ons such as Smart Docs ($32.50 a month) and Projects ($16 a month) cost extra. A 14-day trial needs no credit card.
Top Features
- Customizable visual sales pipelines
- Sales automation and follow-ups
- Email sync and tracking
- Smart Docs proposals with e-signature (add-on)
- LeadBooster lead capture (add-on)
- Mobile CRM app
Pros
- Four published tiers in USD
- Documented API at developers.pipedrive.com
- Lists SOC 2, SOC 3 and ISO/IEC 27001 on its security page
Cons
- Estimating, job costing and scheduling are not covered
- Proposals and project timelines are paid add-ons
AI/MCP Integration: Official. Pipedrive says its MCP server is built and maintained by Pipedrive, available on all plans, and it can search, create and update deals, contacts and activities. Usage is subject to plan token limits, which the page does not state.
API Integration: Yes. Documented API with official Node.js and PHP clients and a Marketplace of 500+ integrations.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web and a mobile CRM app; store listings were not verified.
Best For: Contractors that want a simple, inexpensive bid pipeline with an official AI connector.
Our take: Choose Pipedrive when the sale is the problem and estimating already lives somewhere else.
Editor score: 4.5/5. The clearest pricing and the most open developer surface here; it loses points for having no construction workflow of its own.

2. Jobber
Jobber is field service software with a client CRM, quoting, scheduling and payments in one app, popular with small contractors and home-service crews.
Pricing: Core is $49 a month for 1 user. Connect is $139 (1 user), $199 (5), $299 (10) or $399 (15) a month. Grow is $199, $299, $399 or $499 for the same team sizes, and Plus is $499 to $699 for 5 to 15 users. Extra users are $29 a month each. Annual rates are lower and were on a promotion that ends October 30, so we quote list prices. A 14-day trial gives full Grow access.
Top Features
- Client records with full request, quote and job history
- Requests and online booking forms
- Quotes, invoices and online payments
- Scheduling, dispatch and mobile job notes
- Automations for reminders and follow-ups
- QuickBooks Online sync from Connect
Pros
- Published tiers by team size
- Documented GraphQL API with OAuth 2.0
- Official Claude and ChatGPT connector on every plan
Cons
- Field service software, not built for bids or change orders
- Costs climb steeply with team size
AI/MCP Integration: Official. A Jobber Help Center article describes a connector built on MCP for Claude and ChatGPT, available on Core, Connect, Grow and Plus, with sign-in approval and no API key.
API Integration: Yes. GraphQL API at developer.getjobber.com. Access needs a separate developer account, and marketplace apps go through app review.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web, iOS and Android.
Best For: Small contractors and specialty trades that quote and bill smaller jobs quickly.
Our take: Choose Jobber when speed from request to paid invoice matters more than formal bid management. For its scheduling side, see our field service management software guide.
Editor score: 4.4/5. Published pricing, an official MCP connector and a real API; the lack of construction-specific tooling holds it back. No Jobber-specific SOC 2 or ISO certification is documented as of October 2026.
3. FollowUp CRM
FollowUp CRM is built for commercial general contractors and mechanical, electrical and specialty trades, with a bid log and pipeline at its center.
Pricing: Starter is $99 and Professional $149 per user per month billed annually ($119 and $179 billed monthly), with a 5-user minimum and an annual commitment. Enterprise is a $4,000 monthly platform fee plus $125 per user. A one-time Launch plan for onboarding and migration costs $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee and no documented free trial.
Top Features
- Cloud bid log with quota and goal projection
- Pipeline management and sales tracking
- Lead management with follow-up reminders
- Contacts, companies and email integration
- Proposal generator
- Reporting, analytics and built-in email marketing
Pros
- Handoff to Foundation, Vista, Sage and ComputerEase
- Procore integration listed on the Procore marketplace
- Voice AI for data entry and an Outlook assistant
Cons
- Steep entry cost for small shops
- Voice AI is labeled beta
AI/MCP Integration: None official. A Zapier-hosted MCP page exists at zapier.com/mcp/followup-crm, but it is third-party and not published by the vendor.
API Integration: Yes, per a link to API docs in the site footer. Robots rules blocked our crawl of those docs, so authentication and endpoints are unverified.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web app plus Outlook and Gmail add-ins; a native mobile app was not confirmed on official pages.
Best For: Commercial and specialty contractors with a bid-driven pipeline and an ERP to feed.
Our take: Choose FollowUp CRM when winning bids in the ERP without double entry is worth the price. Its pages state "SOC & ISO compliance reporting" without naming a standard, so ask for the report.
Editor score: 4.3/5. The best construction fit and integrations; price and the unreadable API docs cost it points.
4. Buildertrend
Buildertrend is a residential construction platform whose CRM Hub sits in front of its project management. Its site blocked our automated fetch, so the facts below come from official buildertrend.com pages as indexed and should be checked against the live pages.
Pricing: Custom-quoted. Official pages say the quote depends on builder type, annual revenue and needs, with all features and unlimited users on every plan, billed annually or quarterly. There is no free trial; a demo is offered.
Top Features
- CRM Hub for leads, follow-ups and opportunities
- Lead capture from web forms, Excel import or the mobile app
- Lead stages, salesperson, next follow-up and custom fields
- Lead source and activity reports
- Proposals with templates, e-signature and open tracking
- Lead-to-job conversion that carries files and proposals over
Pros
- Lead, proposal and job live in one system
- Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive syncs through its Marketplace
- Unlimited users on every plan
Cons
- No published pricing or free trial
- Salesforce sync is one-way, with a lag of up to 5 minutes
AI/MCP Integration: None found on official pages. Its named AI features are Client Updates and Bill Capture, not CRM tools.
API Integration: Partner-only. We found no public developer docs.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web and mobile apps; store listings were not confirmed.
Best For: Home builders and remodelers that want leads and jobs in one place.
Our take: Choose Buildertrend when you would rather not sync a separate CRM to a job system. For its scheduling strengths, see how it fits in our guide to construction management software. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are not documented as of October 2026.
Editor score: 4.1/5. A tidy sales-to-job flow; opaque pricing and no public API hold it back.
5. JobNimbus
JobNimbus is a CRM and project board system for roofing, remodeling and specialty contractors. Its site blocked our fetch, so the facts below come from official jobnimbus.com and support.jobnimbus.com pages as indexed.
Pricing: Quote-based. Four tiers are named: Essentials (up to 3 users), Pro (up to 10), Premium (up to 19) and Enterprise (20+). We found no list prices on official pages, and a comparison page quoting $299 a month for an Essentials team is marketing copy, not a price list. A 14-day trial is offered.
Top Features
- Project boards with automations
- Estimates and proposals with e-signature
- Invoices, payments and customer financing
- QuickBooks sync
- Text and email through a shared inbox
- Native iOS and Android app on every plan
Pros
- Roofing supplier integrations for estimating
- Unlimited contacts on all plans
- Documented REST API with API keys
Cons
- No public prices, and tiers cap users, boards and automations
- API documentation looks dated
AI/MCP Integration: Community only. JobNimbus has an AI phone agent called AssistAI, but no official MCP server; third-party MCP servers exist on GitHub.
API Integration: Yes. REST and JSON API with API-key authentication, documented on a Postman page and in the support center.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web, iOS and Android.
Best For: Roofing and exterior contractors that run jobs off project boards.
Our take: Choose JobNimbus when your workflow is lead, estimate, production board and invoice, and you want a supplier-connected estimate.
Editor score: 4.0/5. Strong roofing workflow; unpublished prices and no certifications documented (SOC 2 and ISO are not documented as of October 2026).
6. Houzz Pro
Houzz Pro pairs a CRM with estimates, invoicing, takeoffs and a marketplace profile for remodelers, builders and design-build firms. Its pricing page blocked our fetch, so the facts below come from official-domain excerpts.
Pricing: The newest official source lists Design at $99, Pro at $199 and Teams from $399 a month. Design and Pro include 1 user, with extra users at $50 a month. An older official page shows a free plan, Pro at $199 and an Enterprise tier, so confirm the current lineup. Plans carry a 12-month commitment, and a 30-day trial is offered. An advertising package starts at $499 a month.
Top Features
- CRM with custom pipeline stages, tags and lead owners
- Leads from Houzz, web forms, email or Zapier
- Estimates and proposals with e-signature
- Takeoffs, bid management and job costing
- Client dashboard and selections
- Houzz AI for lead messages and call summaries
Pros
- Lead pipeline, estimating and invoicing in one tool
- Two-way QuickBooks Online sync
- Flat-rate leads page instead of per-lead fees
Cons
- 12-month contract and no published annual price
- No public API
AI/MCP Integration: None found. Houzz AI covers lead messages, transcription and estimates but no MCP server was found.
API Integration: No public API or developer docs found. Integrations are prebuilt connectors: QuickBooks Online, Zapier, Gmail and others.
Cloud Based: Yes, hosted on AWS. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web, iOS, Android and a separate iPad app.
Best For: Remodelers and design-build firms that also want marketplace leads.
Our take: Choose Houzz Pro when design, estimating and lead generation belong in one subscription. SOC 2 is not documented for Houzz Pro itself; its FAQ cites AWS hosting and PCI-DSS for card payments.
Editor score: 3.9/5. A broad bundle for design-led firms; the contract term and missing API limit it.
7. Leap
Leap, made by Leap LLC, acquired JobProgress, which is now Leap CRM. It has two products: Leap CRM for operations and Leap SalesPro for in-home sales.
Pricing: Leap CRM Essential is $79 a month for a single user. Team starts at $298 a month including the first user, plus $99 a month per extra user. SalesPro Premium starts at $750 a month with 6 users, and SalesPro Enterprise is custom-quoted. All plans are one-year contracts billed monthly, and the Essential plan has a 14-day trial.
Top Features
- Lead and customer management with an appointment calendar
- Customizable workflows and automations
- Digital estimates, proposals and contracts with e-signature
- SalesPro in-home estimating that works offline
- Built-in financing through up to 12 lenders
- Measurement integrations and Leap Pay
Pros
- In-home sales app and back-office CRM from one vendor
- Integrations with QuickBooks, JobNimbus and CompanyCam
- No extra charge for integrations (third-party fees aside)
Cons
- Essential is single-user, and production tools need the $298+ Team plan
- One-year contract required
AI/MCP Integration: None found. No official or community MCP server was found; Leap mentions AI in marketing copy and integrates Siro for sales-call analysis.
API Integration: No public developer docs found. A webhooks page exists but is login-gated; Zapier is the documented route.
Cloud Based: Yes. No on-premise option is documented.
Platforms: Web, Android and iOS; SalesPro is built around iPad.
Best For: Roofing and remodeling companies with in-home sales reps.
Our take: Choose Leap when your sales happen at the kitchen table and financing at the close matters. Only Leap Pay is described as SOC 2 and PCI compliant; no certifications are documented for the CRM itself.
Editor score: 3.8/5. Strong for in-home sales; gated features, contract terms and no developer access hold it back.

How to Choose Construction CRM Software
The best CRM for construction companies is the one that fits the sales process you actually use, including who owns each follow-up and when a won opportunity moves into delivery.
- Decide whether you need a CRM or a CRM plus job system. If estimating and job files already exist elsewhere, a sales-only tool like Pipedrive costs far less.
- Match the tool to your sales motion. Commercial bids favor FollowUp CRM; in-home residential sales favor Leap, JobNimbus or Houzz Pro.
- Count seats before comparing prices. FollowUp CRM has a 5-user minimum, Leap Essential is single-user, and Jobber charges $29 per extra user.
- Check the handoff. Ask which accounting or ERP system the won bid feeds and whether the sync is one-way. Buildertrend's Salesforce sync is one-way.
- Read the contract terms. Houzz Pro, Leap and FollowUp CRM all use annual or one-year terms.
- Ask for security paperwork. Pipedrive lists SOC 2 and ISO 27001; Jobber, Buildertrend, JobNimbus and Leap CRM document no certification.
- Plan the data move. Compare the cost of migrating contacts, as FollowUp CRM sells launch plans for $2,500 to $10,000. A contract management tool may also be needed after the sale.
What This Actually Costs
Take a five-person sales team. Pipedrive Growth at $24 per seat per month billed annually is $1,440 a year. Jobber Connect for 5 users at its $199 list price is $2,388. Houzz Pro Pro at $199 plus four extra users at $50 is $399 a month, or $4,788. Leap CRM Team at $298 plus four extra users at $99 is $694 a month, or $8,328. FollowUp CRM Starter, with its 5-user minimum, is $5,940 plus the $2,500 Starter launch plan, or $8,440 in year one. Buildertrend and JobNimbus need a quote, so no honest figure is possible.
Final Thoughts
Pipedrive is the safest default for a contractor that mostly needs a pipeline, and it is the only tool here with a published price ladder, an official MCP server and listed security standards. Jobber is the better buy when quoting and getting paid on smaller jobs is the daily work.
FollowUp CRM is the choice for commercial contractors that live and die by the bid log, if the price fits. Buildertrend, JobNimbus, Houzz Pro and Leap make sense when the CRM should come bundled with estimates and jobs, with the caveat that their pricing pages were hard to read and should be verified before you sign.
